As part of its ongoing global CSR initiative, The Positive Cup, Nespresso Hong Kong will launch an incentivising capsule-recycling programme for its Club Members and the environment.
To kick-start every morning or to power through a work afternoon, a cup of Nespresso is essential for most people around the globe. What you may not know about each capsule that fuels your cuppa, is that these little coffee containers are made from recyclable aluminium. Drop off your recycled used capsules at any Nespresso boutique or sign up for the Recycling@Home service where used capsules are picked up when a new order is delivered. These capsules are then taken to a local recycling plant where the aluminium are separated from the coffee residue and re-melted into recycled aluminium. Nothing is wasted, as even the coffee remnants are sent to the Hong Kong Organic Waste Recycling Centre in the New Territories to be used for farming composts.
From 15 September to 15 October, join #TheCapsuleJourney by bringing in your full bag of used capsules in exchange for a grow-your-own mushroom kit composed of Nespresso’s coffee grounds as natural compost.
