The ethical UK beauty brand Lush tackles a pressing issue with The Nature Conservancy in a #SavetheRainforest campaign.
The rainforests in Indonesia, the third largest in the world, are facing major threats from industrial timber, mining and rapidly growing palm oil industries. Not only do the rural communities rely on these forests for critical resources such as food, clean water, medicine and their livelihoods, but these forests do much more by absorbing carbon to regulate our global climate, protecting us from the effects of global warming. This is why Lush joins hands with The Nature Conservancy in tackling this issue by raising awareness and collecting funds for deforestation.
Your contribution is simple. Support the campaign by purchasing a cute and limited edition Jungle Soap (HKD$55/90g), in which palm oil was replaced by rapeseed oil as the soap base. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to The Nature Conservancy’s efforts in protecting the forests.
